Since 2018, a married couple has confused and surprised Washington politician: Kellyanne Conway, a senior White House adviser, has vigorously defended her boss Donald Trump. At the same time, her husband, George Conway, a Republican attorney and advisor, has the President’s bad luck.

The statement came in a thread of four Twitter messages sent at 1:15 at night. There, Trump scolded Conway and a host of other Republican opponents as “losers” and “RINO Republicans.” RINO is a derogatory term for people who don’t really belong to the party, Republicans in name only.
Later that day, he crashed into George Conway on the airstrip at Andrews base.

What sparked the president’s ire was a political commercial aired on the Fox News television channel. It was created by the campaign group The Lincoln Project, a so-called Super-PAC. Behind is George Conway and a group of other Republicans who also have little left for the President.
The commercial rebukes Trump’s efforts against the crown pandemic while playing a legendary commercial for Ronald Reagan from the 1984 election campaign.
Trump’s critical film cut is called “Mourning in America” - Mourning in America. Reagan’s movie was called “Morning in America” - Morning in America.
While the 1984 Reagan film was extremely positive, the new film is dark and gloomy. He ends up asking him “after four more years like this, there will be an America”. The narrative voice in the clip also reminds of Reagan, a Republican hero after eight years as president in the 1980s.
Money flowed in
However, Trump’s tirade against Conway and his group had consequences that the President may not have imagined. The day their messages came out, they flowed donations to the Lincoln Project.
More than ten million arrived in one day. Therefore, they can now afford to continue shipping the film, among other things in rocket states where presidential elections are decided this fall.
Trump has previously called George Conway the “husband from hell.” Conway, meanwhile, has repeatedly mocked Trump, who he believes is mentally disturbed and unfit for President. Conway added “moon face” to the description of himself on Twitter.

Trump’s lofty thought about what the lawyer’s spouse might have done to him has not toned down the tone. Now Conway has spoken out against Trump again in his column in The Washington Post. There, he claims that the reason for Trump’s anger is that the president fears being revealed as who he is.
“He lies incessantly, not just as sociopaths do to deceive others, but also to deceive themselves,” writes Conway. He believes the advertising feature has sunk into Trump’s fragile ego.
Crown Confidence Fall
The commercial that got the president excited is about the epidemic and Trump’s response to it. At the same time, opinion polls on the crown’s measures are not without reading in the White House.
A Monmouth University Poll poll released this week shows that confidence in Trump’s crown policy is falling.
“The trend suggests that the public is increasingly dissatisfied with Trump’s response to the pandemic,” Monmouth chief Patrick Murray said in a comment on the poll.
As with many other issues, the difference is strong between what Democrats and Republicans think of Trump. The president has criticized, among other things, the governors who he seems to have taken too seriously against the virus and who seem to hesitate to reopen society.
But a significant majority, 69 percent, fear more that the country will reopen too soon than too late. 29 percent, on the other hand, are concerned about waiting too long for the reopening and thus damaging the economy.
