Attorney Dag Svensson says he will question the 32-year-old man on Saturday.

“There will be no meeting in the prison today, just questions,” the lawyer told Aftenposten.

Prison meetings on Saturdays generally begin at 10 a.m. and last until 12 p.m.

– I am called for an interrogation that will begin at 12 o’clock. When the interrogation ends, the court is closed, says Svensson.

– Does that mean he’s being released?

– The law states that defendants in custody, as soon as the third day, and not later, must appear in court with a request for custody. Today is the third day, says Svensson.

That means the police have no chance to hold the 32-year-old woman until Monday.

“It has happened that the police have violated the rules in the past, but I doubt they will in this case,” says Svensson.

The Eastern Police District on Saturday declined to comment on the custody issue of the 32-year-old Aftenposten.
