GJØVIK TINGRETT (VG) The father of the family says in court that he felt that the son had power over him after the abuse.
Toten, 45, has acknowledged that he killed his son Oscar André Ocampo Overn (15) and that before that he had committed several sexual attacks against him.
– He has sat down with all the triumph and I have my fingers crossed so he doesn’t say anything. This power he had over me. It was beyond concentration at work. It was disappointing, says his father in court.
Tip
– I crossed my fingers so it wouldn’t come out, continues.
The defendant talks about how, the day before the murder, he was confronted by the 15-year-old’s mother, his then-wife. They had told him what had happened.
– I lay down toad and played the cards I had. It was a shock to her, of course, says the father of the family.
– Plan to kill
The 45-year-old man says it was clear to him that the family was separating.
– To save the future of others, I would have to kill Oscar and myself, he says in court.
The defendant says he decided and began planning the murder of his son. Explain in detail why you did what you did. One reason he removed a window, fireplace, and door from a bedroom balcony again.
– It was to prevent her from going down. To buy me time, she explains, referring to him locking the boy’s mother in the room.
After killing the son, the 45-year-old man’s plan was to commit suicide.
When asked by the prosecutor, the accused responds that he has a great capacity to execute and does what he has set out to do.
– I closed all the feelings outside that morning. The focus was only on implementing what he had planned, he says.
– Do not regret
The defendant pleaded guilty to murder and was partially punished for sexual abuse when the trial against him began Tuesday morning.
He explained in court how the abuse evolved over time from what he describes as “tickling.” Describe several sexual assaults that took place both in the house where the family lived and in the cabin.
– I’ve only done it in the best sense, even if it’s wrong, he says in court.
The abuses of which he speaks are consistent with those described in one of the points of the prosecution’s decision.
– Do you regret taking Oscar’s life? asks actor Thorbjørn Klundseter.
– I do not regret taking the life of Oscar, no. I regret the sexual acts that occurred. Because if it had not happened, then the murder would not have happened. Then the balance of power would have been completely different, responds the accused.
– Do not you regret that he is dead and that you have killed him?
– No.
During the day, the court heard how the father of the family called the police and said that “there was a dead boy in his house.”
The son, Oscar André Ocampo, 15, died in the hospital on November 4 of last year. He had then been in a coma with serious injuries since his father strangled him on October 9.
