In Bergen, the number of infected has increased in the last 24 hours and the municipality now has a total of 2,917 infected since February 28.
This was announced at a press conference on Wednesday afternoon.
– Since yesterday there have been 91 new cases of contagion, says Councilor Roger Valhammer (Labor). This means that the so-called R number is 1.6, something over the course of a month will correspond to a full Brann stadium if you cannot stop the infection.
– The math is brutal, says Valhammer.
One person also lost their life in the last 24 hours.

A large proportion have test dates on Saturdays and Sundays. These were recorded on Wednesday due to a delay in the Haukeland laboratory. The age range is from 2 to 83 years old, six people are over 60 years old.
Of those for which the municipality has an overview, six have an unknown infection route and five are imported infections. A resident of the Løvåsen nursing home has died, the municipality claims on its website.
There were 1792 people who got tested on Tuesday.
– I am convinced that together we will overcome what we are experiencing now. We cannot fight a pandemic alone, says Valhammer.
A total of 42 people in the Bergen municipality have lost their lives due to the crown.
The latest weekly FHI report for week 45 shows that the number of reported infection cases increased in all age groups. The increase was greater in the age group 13 to 19 years (75%). This age group now has the highest number of reported cases relative to the population.
Last week, a total of 3,891 covid-19 cases were recorded in Norway, a 24 percent increase from the previous week. Therefore, the increase is less pronounced than in the previous two weeks, when it was 80%.
