NAF takes out 420 guards, while Parat takes out 383 guards on strike since 12 o’clock, NAF informs NTB.

The parties brokered Wednesday morning in overtime before a breakout just after 6.30am.

The strike is the first in the pay settlement this year.

– We do not meet many of our requirements. We had the requirement and the expectation that the weights should be closer to the wage of an industrial worker. Because they have slowed down in the stern in recent years, says NAF union leader and negotiator Anita Johansen.

It adds that none of the written points they had regarding the change of text in the agreement were met. There was also disagreement about the apprenticeship program.

– That we have not reached an agreement to fix the salary and working conditions of the apprentices is extremely disappointing, he says.

– He gave us no choice

The corona pandemic has led to layoffs and layoffs in the security industry, and NHO Service og Handel believes it is not musical to go on strike. Johansen notes that the guards are a low-paid group and believes they had no other choice.

– I understand that they believe it, but they bet on that lack of musicality. When they failed to reach an agreement on the frontal issue, they gave us no choice, he says.

NHO Service og Handel notes that the security industry largely provides services in struggling industries such as culture and tourism, as well as aviation.

Affected by the situation of the crown

– These industries are struggling and several security companies are in the process of layoffs. This is the framework around this agreement, and it is difficult for us to understand that unions do not see the seriousness of the situation companies are in, says Executive Director Anne-Cecilie Kaltenborn of NHO Service og Handel.

She notes that there are still around 1,000 sacked guards in the industry, who are among the hardest hit by the crown situation.

– Guards provide services in struggling industries such as culture and tourism, as well as aviation. So it is clear that this agreement has a particularly demanding framework, he says.

NHO believes that the corona pandemic makes the future uncertain for many.

– We believe that going on strike is not musical. None of us know what the situation in society will be like in the future, not even in this industry. At this time, there is nothing to indicate that the situation will improve significantly in the future, concludes Kaltenborn at NHO.

Who thinks the other party has not taken into account the uncertainty surrounding the crown summons.

The agreement went to mediation after NAF and Parat broke up negotiations with NHO on August 27.

The security guards at Securitas and Avarn are going on strike in the first instance.

Almost 5,000 could go on strike if it escalates.
