80 new corona cases registered in Oslo in the last 24 hours

On Tuesday, 47 new cases were registered in the capital, while the previous day 54 new cases of contagion were registered.

The number of infected in the last 14 days is 649, according to the crown statistics of the municipality of Oslo. This is the highest number of infections recorded in one day during the last 14 days.

Most of those infected are between 20 and 29 years old.

Most young men are infected

The most infected age group is 20-29 years old. 239 people in this age group are infected, while 144 people in the 30-39 age group are infected.

The most infected are in the Grünerløkka district with 69, followed by Frogner and Old Oslo with 68 and 67 infected, respectively. For every 100,000 inhabitants, the district of St. Hanshaugen has the highest infection pressure with 154.1 infected, followed by Stovner with 138.1 infected and Bjerke with 125.7.

One third have an unknown route of transmission.

The pressure of infection in the capital has recently led the Oslo City Council to introduce several measures, including a court order on the use of masks in public transport. On Thursday, Council Member Raymond Johansen will present an update on the status of the infection.
