732 new infected by corona last day: new 24-hour record

In the last 24 hours, 732 corona infections have been recorded in Norway. That’s 39 more than the day before and 209 more than the same day last week.

At the same time, it is the highest number of infection cases in Norway in the space of 24 hours since the corona pandemic hit the country. The previous peak was on November 13, when 710 cases of infection were recorded.

A total of 49,010 people infected with corona were registered in this country at midnight on Thursday, according to preliminary figures from the national infectious disease notification system (MSIS).

In the last seven days, a total of 3,555 new cases of infection have been registered in Norway. So far, more than 2.7 million people have been tested for the coronavirus in this country.

145 corona patients were hospitalized on Wednesday. There were six fewer than the day before.

A total of 436 corona-infected people have died in Norway since March, preliminary figures show. It is not always possible to establish whether patients have died from or from Covid-19.
