That’s 88 more than the previous day, according to preliminary figures from the national infectious disease notification system (MSIS).

In the last two days, 1,332 cases have been registered in the MSIS.

Throughout the month of October, 6,995 cases of infection were registered through the MSIS, the highest number since the pandemic broke out. As of less than the middle of November, the number of reported infections already stands at 6,065. A total of 26,503 cases of infection have been reported by Thursday of this week.

The last time more than 700 cases of infection were recorded was on November 3, when 704 cases of infection were reported, the highest number so far.

On Thursday, 110 coronary patients were admitted to Norwegian hospitals. That’s 15 more than the day before. 12 of the patients receive respiratory treatment. That is the same number as Wednesday.

So far, nearly 1.9 million people have been tested for the coronavirus in this country.

A total of 285 corona-infected people have died in Norway since March, according to preliminary figures. It is not always possible to establish whether patients have died from or from COVID-19. Just over half, 53%, of the dead are men, and people in their 80s make up the largest group.
