A woman in her 40s has been charged with the murder of her partner of the same age after he was found dead at Kleppe in Klepp municipality on Christmas Day.
Police did not find an immediate cause of death, but charged the woman after the autopsy report found evidence that the man in his 40s had been killed.
– The police have now received a preliminary autopsy report. For investigative reasons, we do not wish to comment on the details of the report, but the investigation of the deceased shows findings that may indicate that the man was murdered. Police have now charged his partner with murder, reports police attorney Christine Kleppa.
Both the victim and the accused are in their 40s and are known to the police from other circumstances.
The accused will be questioned overnight on Tuesday.
– We are very early in the investigation and much work remains to be done, says Kleppa.
– The house where the deceased was found has been cordoned off and a forensic investigation is underway at the scene. In addition, the police will focus on questioning witnesses and reviewing mobile data, Kleppa says.
