(Bergens Tidende 🙂 Police and an ambulance moved to a residential area in the Åsane district at 11.30pm on Sunday night. In a residential house, divided into several apartments, the police found two people. One seemed lifeless, the other was a dead person.

It’s a young man and a young woman who have been found, says operations manager Knut Dahl-Michelsen in a news release Sunday night.

The woman was pronounced dead at the scene.

– The woman’s relatives have been notified. They are both 20 years old, Dahl-Michelsen tells BT at 03:00.

– Suspicious death

BT spoke to the chief of police duties outside the home before the police sent out the press release that it was a young woman who had been found dead.

– The person who is alive was conscious, but needed medical attention and was transferred to the hospital. The police are in an alert phase which means that we cannot come out with more personal information, said Tom Johannessen.

He emphasized that the police currently have no evidence to believe that something criminal has happened. They are investigating the case as a suspicious death.

The police are conducting technical investigations on the spot until Sunday night.

They have been in contact with the man who is alive, but have not had in-depth questioning. The police now want to talk to the neighbors.

– This is a house with several apartments on many levels, where there are different types of homes. It was just these two in the apartment in question when the police arrived. We have no reason to believe that other people live in the apartment besides these two people, says operations manager Johannessen.

– is in an early stage

At the moment, the police do not wish to comment on the type of injuries the two people had when emergency services arrived.

– We are working to control the details of the case, but right now we are in an initial phase, says Johannessen.

The background of the call was a message of concern from the family of the person who lived in the home.

On Sunday morning, Operations Manager Knut Dahl-Michelsen told NTB that police will be able to say more about the case in the morning. At 06:00, the man who was found in the apartment was not questioned.

BT spoke with Martine Haaland at 09:00 on Sunday. She is an attorney on duty in the West Police District and has nothing new to say about the death.
