The cat Sigurd (2) from Heistad near Porsgrunn was in a terrible state when he came home screaming on Christmas day afternoon.

– He meowed and yelled outside the door at four o’clock, food mother Lillian Henriksen tells Telemarksavisa (TA).

The photos show a cat with dizziness, unsightly cuts and wounds in various places on the body.

– The legs were burned and burned, and the claws were cut off, says Henriksen.

– Made on purpose

There was also a long wound on one leg, wounds on the chest and also a cut on the rectum.

The vet had to shave the coat to get a general idea of ​​the injuries.

For Henriksen, who had considered the possibility of an accident, the conclusion of the investigations was disturbing.

– There is no natural explanation for such different types of injuries, he tells Dagbladet.

– So someone must have done it on purpose?

– That’s what I’ve landed on, she says.

He will contact the police

The abuse must have occurred in about two hours when Sigurd was away from home.

The family reacts strongly to what the cat has been exposed to and has promised a reward of 10,000 crowns to the person who provides information leading to the capture of the alleged abuser.

So far no one has been able to submit the perfect solution, which is not strange.

– We are waiting to see what appears on Facebook, but the next thing will probably be to inform the police of this, says Lillian Henriksen.

Christmas dinner amputated

He says that Christmas has been very marked by what happened to Sigurd.

It will also be quite an expensive affair, with veterinary visits and check-ups. But the worst thing is that Sigurd is suffering.

– It was a slightly amputated first Christmas dinner. I stayed up until four o’clock last night to put the last pain reliever on Sigurd, says Lillian Henriksen.

Now she hopes to receive advice on who is behind the abuse.
