A North Carolina man has been accused of walking after a 5-year-old boy who was playing outside and shot himself in the head, according to a report.
Darius Sessoms, 25, was arrested Monday on charges of first-degree murder in the death of the boy, Cannon Hinnant, in Wilson, NC, WRAL-TV reported.
Sessoms and the boy’s father were nearest villages. Cannon was on his bike at his father’s house on Sunday afternoon when he hit his two sisters, 7 and 8, WRAL-TV reported.
Doris Labrant told the station in an exclusive interview that she looked out of her window when she saw Sessoms running towards Cannon, putting a gun to the boy’s head and the tractor on. She said Sessoms then walked back to his own house next door.

“My first reaction was that he was playing with the kids,” Labrant said, according to the station. “For a second I thought, ‘That can not happen.’ “People are not walking down the street killing children.”
Lebrant said she flew the father of the young Austin Hinnant out of the house after Cannon was shot. She said he screamed as he picked up the boy.
‘They will never get over this,’ she told the station.

Monday, Cannon had to be his first nursery school.
The motive for the shooting was investigated.
The Cannon family has known Sessoms for years, WNCN-TV reported.
