No, Cyberpunk 2077 does not have 56GB Day One patch on PS4, PS5

Cyberpunk 2077 Day One Patch PS5 PS4

Cyberpunk 2077 is just over a week away from release, and it honestly looks like parts of the internet are close to filling up. This hype is certainly real, and just like the imminent projection of something big in general, many people are currently losing their minds on what is clearly misinformation.

Here’s what’s going on: Some people found a copy of their Cyberpunk 2077 early. One such person posted a photograph of him installing Cyberpunk 2077 on his PS5, hoping Reddit would prove he owns the game. That image has since been removed, but it still floats on Twitter.

The original poster claimed they were downloading a heavy day patch for the PS4 title – which weighed a whopping 56GB. Naturally, a lot of sites were immediately rushed with this story as it spread on social media – but according to CD Project Reds Fabian Mario Dahola, Even such patches do not exist. At least not yet.

It looks like the 56GB in question is actually the installed size of Cyberpunk 2077 on the PS4. CD Project Red has not yet issued an official statement on the release of the one-day patch.

And that’s about it. The only other thing we want to mention is that, again, some people have Cyberpunk 2077 – and the launch of this game will inevitably lead to leaks before next week. Be careful there!
