Downsizing continues at Nike.

The latest cuts follow a major layoff announced by the company last summer, which removed reg00 Oregon jobs and more jobs at the company during January. Nike did not say how many people lost their jobs recently, or in which department.
Nike confirmed new job declines on the same day, announcing a quarterly revenue of 3 10.3 billion and a profit of 4 1.4 billion for the quarter ended February 28. Sales and administrative costs are down 24 242 million compared to the same period a year ago.
North American sales actually fell nearly 11% in the last quarter. But Nike accused the U.S. Lack of shipping containers in ports and no brand weakness.

Shares of Nike closed at 143.17 per share, down 65.65 on Thursday. In trading hours later, it touched a low of 137.52.
In a statement on the job cuts, Nike said: “The work we started last summer to streamline the organization is ongoing. We are building a flattering, nimble company and will transform Nike more quickly to determine the future market. ”
The company suggests that more jobs could be cut.
“We are focused on transferring resources and re-investing in our highest potential growth areas,” the company said. “This process and related deadlines will change in these markets based on local labor law.”
