Nick Falls to stay starter at the Chicago Bears ’QB; Tariq Cohen has torn the ACL

Nick Falls will move on to the quarterback after a comeback win over the Chicago Bears over the Atlanta Falcons on Sunday to relieve Mitchell Trubiski.

The announcement was made by coach Matt Nagy, who also said that tests have confirmed that Terrik Cohen has a torn ACL running behind him and will lose the rest of the season.

Nagy benched Trubiski in favor of the Falls with Chicago in the third quarter. After a two-minute warning, the Fellows responded to three half-touchdown passes, including a game-winning 28-yard wide strike by Anthony Miller.

Falls also had touchdown passes from Alan Robinson and Jimmy Graham. He finished the game 16-of-29 for 188 yards, three touchdowns and one interception. He had two additional touchdown passes overturned by officers.

Cohen was injured when he returned the pants while Brian Hill of Atlanta slipped on the back of his right foot, causing him to bend in a knee position. Cohen went to the ground and immediately grabbed his right knee. The 5-foot-6 purposeful threat was unable to bring any pressure to his right leg when the trainers helped him land.

Prior to the injury he took two carryings for 21 yards and three receptions for 20 yards.
