NFL Week 6 Grade: The Cowboys get an ‘F’ for an ugly performance, the Browns get a ‘D’ for hitting the Steelers.

If Browns fans have seen him once, he has seen him a million times: his team went to Heinz Field and threw stones.

After seeing the Browns out for a 4-1 start for the first time since 1994, it looked like it might finally be the year where Cleveland were able to end their 16-year streak in Pittsburgh, but instead, the Browns, if it were possible, 38-7 went full browns in the spread loss which would have been worse than what the score really suggests.

The game seemed to match as soon as the game started and that was largely because the Browns were starting a hobbled quarterback in Baker Mayfield, who was questionable for the game after spending a whole week dealing with a rib injury. As soon as Browns’ offense set foot on the field for the first time, it became clear that Mayfield would have no chance against the Statilers defense, which smelled of blood in the water.

On Cleveland’s first offensive possession, Mayfield threw a pick-six towards Minkah Fitzpatrick and at that point, the route continued.

The Browns quarterback never felt like he managed to be comfortable when he went against the Steelers defense and ran for his life for almost three full quarters before he was finally sidelined in favor of Case Kinnam. Mayfield was fired four times by the time he was sent to the bench while two picks were also thrown out. During his time on the field, he was only able to make 19 passes for 119 yards.

It was a wild week of 6 Sundays and there was a lot to go through. John Breach and Ryan Wilson will join Will Brinson, the host on Poxcast, chosen to break everything down; Listen below and don’t forget to subscribe to the daily NFL goodness.

Heinz Field has been the “House of Horror” for the Cleveland Browns for the past 20 years. Since returning to the NFL in 1999, the Browns are now just 1-20 in Pittsburgh, including this loss. Browse have not won a game at Heinz Field since 2003 and have never beaten Mike Tomlin at Stickers Stadium (0-17).

The game was supposed to be a statement opportunity for the Browns, but instead, it further reminds us of the Steelers whether the Steelers are Steelers and Browse Brown. As Tomlin prefers to say, “the standard is the norm,” and Brown doesn’t walk up to the standard yet.
