NFL tells Biden that all team stadiums will be made available as mass vaccination sites

On the eve of Super Bowl Week, NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell wrote to President Biden to write to him that each of the league’s 327 teams would “make its stadium available to the general public for mass vaccinations.”

Driving News: “This could happen quickly,” Goodell said in a letter on Thursday, “because many of our clubs have previously offered their facilities over the last several months as covid test centers as well as polling stations.”

Why it’s important: The UFFL continues to use its unique approach to recovering from the U.S. epidemic.

  • The fact that the Super Bowl is also being played amid the Great Epidemic reflects the successful navigation of the NFL’s barriers that once threatened to cut or close the season.
  • Surprisingly, the league played all 256 regular-season games without cancellation, AP reports.
  • NFL Vaccinated health care workers from across the country are undergoing treatment at epidemic-crowded meetings for Sunday’s game in Tampa.

Says Goodell’s letter The NFL is “committed to doing our part to ensure that vaccinations are as widespread as possible in our communities.”

  • The clubs will “make the stadium available in coordination with local, state and federal health officials.”
