NFL rumors: Jets targeting Cowboys’ offensive lineman at Jamal Adams trade?

Now this is a different approach.

Typically, NFL teams request (and receive) a draft compensation when star players are dealt. Consider Jalen Ramsey’s trade from the Jaguars to the Rams last season, which included multiple first-round picks.

If the Jets wanted to take that stance on bids for Jamal Adams, similar (but not so rich) bids could come. Or GM Joe Douglas could target a player and minor teams, giving the 2020 team a better chance to make a decision. jump even if Adams is in a different uniform.

According to Pro Paul Network’s Tony Pauline, a player-by-player exchange with the Dallas Cowboys could be on the horizon.

Right now, it seems like the Dallas Cowboys may be a logical landing spot for Adams because of his desire to be traded there and because he is rumored to have affection for Adams. But even better? The Jets may be willing to do business with the Cowboys because they covet a player on their offensive line.

Pauline said: “I am now being told that the player the Jets would ask for in an Adams trade would be right tackle La’el Collins. That is the player they want. That’s the player they’re going to target … If you’re a Jets fan, you know one thing: You can’t start the season with Chuma Edoga starting with the right tackle. ”

Dealing with Collins and subtracting from an offensive line already lost to center Travis Fredrick this offseason could be difficult for Dallas. But if the Jets could come out of this offseason with new tackles (Mekhi Becton and Collins) for years to come, it could be a victory for Douglas’ long-term strategy.
