While 49-year-old general manager John Lynch and coach Kyle Shannon have said Jimmy Garoppolo will be their quarterback in 2021, there is a hope that San Francisco will change its mind and move on to the quarterback.
According to Greg Bedard of The Boston Sports Journal, the New England Patriots want to rejoin Garoppolo.
Bedard said earlier this week on “The Greg Bedard Patriots Podcast”, “From what I’ve been collecting from talking to people this week, last week, Jimmy Garoppolo still has his plans far and wide.” “This, if they were to draw it, is exactly the best situation for the Patriots for this coming season, that Jimmy G is coming back here. And of course, it all depends on those who do something.”
Last se fisson no, 49 people gave him a Super Bowl LIV before he ran back with the man ahead of Geropolo. But away from injury after the 2020 season, most of the 49ers’ fanbase is ready for a new quarterback to step in.
The 49 were rumored to be linked to Matthew Stafford before the Detroit Lions traded Jared Goff and the Los Angeles Rams for several draft picks.
Annoyed Houston Texans quarterback Deshaun Watson has been cited as a 49-man prospect, but as of now, his current team has no plans to trade the 2017 first-round draft pick.
The NFL could choose one of the quarterback prospects in the 2021 draft, but that could mean skipping future draft elections to move forward.
ESPN’s Todd M S Cash released his updated mock draft and projected that 49 people would trade in the 9th with the Denver Broncos to select Alabama quarterback Mac Jones.
“The Broncos could add something alongside the extra second-rounder (No. 43) and pick No. 12 this year in addition to the 2022 first- or second-rounder,” McShe wrote. “At this stage it’s hard to say how much Ninars is looking forward to the quarterback.”
If the 49ers were able to achieve top-level quarterbacks in the first round of the April draft, they would probably be ready to move on from Gar Garoppolo.

It will be music in the ears of patriots. After losing franchise icon Tom Brady in Free Agency last spring, they signed former NFL MVP Cam Newton. It did not go according to union plan and New England finished with a -9 record, missing playoffs for the first time since 2008.
But any prospect of the Patriots’ 2014 second-round draft will return to New England this spring, leaving the 49ers with an unexpected move to the quarterback. Until that happens, longtime Pats coach Bill Belichick will only have to dream of joining Garoppolo.
