The Seattle Seahawks received great news Friday when cornerback Quinton Dunbar had dropped birds of prey against him due to insufficient evidence. After being placed on the released commissioner’s list shortly after his arrest, NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero says Dunbar will be removed from the list.
The NFL removes #Seahawks CB Quinton Dunbar of the released list, clears him to join the team tomorrow, said source.

This means that Dunbar can join the Seahawks and practice with the team, but he is not necessarily free to play Week 1. We’ll be waiting for the NFL’s decision on whether Dunbar will still get a suspension, although he will not be prosecuted, but the great thing is that he will be a part of the Seahawks second, as we had hoped, then when he was bought back in March.
Fix your eyes on this group of players:
Projected outside cornerbacks: Quinton Dunbar, Shaquill Griffin
Projected startup safety: Quandre Diggs, Jamal Adams
Key reserves / nickel packed defensive backs: Tre Flowers, Ugo Amadi, Marquise Blair
On paper, this has the potential to be a really great secondary, which was clearly one of the top priorities for John Schneider and Pete Carroll.
Now about that pass rush …
