The fourth week of the NFL season is over. After a wild week full of news and schedule changes, where does each team stand in Week 5?
Let’s dive.
1. Kansas City Chiefs (4-0)
Last week: Win vs New England 26-10
Next week: vs. Las Vegas
The Chiefs’ offense had its issues against the St Patt Patriot defense, so it was the defense that made the plays, including Frank Clark’s Strip-Bag and Tyrone Matthew Pick-Six, two of Casey’s second straight wins over Bill Belichick.
2. Green Bay Packers (4-0)
Last week: Win vs. Atlanta 30-16
Next week: Bye
The Packers continue to look better than he has over the years, and Aaron Rogers continues to look excellent. Sometimes, getting your quarterback help doesn’t mean buying a receiver.
3. Seattle Seahawks (4-0)
Last week: 31-23 in Miami
Next week: vs. Minnesota
Russell Wilson was not at his best, but the defense was (ultimately) better and star cornerback Schill Griffin played late, with a big pick and a pass breakup arriving late.
4. Buffalo Bills (4-0)
Last week: 30-23 win in Las Vegas
Next week: on Tennessee
Josh Allen’s rising, Stephen Diggs is bowling, and Buffalo is pulling on all the cylinders right now. We’ll see if they show up in Nashville this week – there’s no guarantee yet.
5. Pittsburgh Steelers (3-0)
Last week: Bye
Next week: Philadelphia v
So this was a weird, awkward, stressful week with 4 byes, then on tap, but still a visit to the equipment Philly group. Things don’t get lighter from there. They have Cleveland, Tennessee, Baltimore and Dallas on the deck.
6. Tennessee Titans (3-0)
Last week: Bye
Next week: vs. Buffalo
The second Titan went on the COVID-19 list on Monday, and the time to stop the bleeding is getting shorter if they can get a Sunday home date.
7. Baltimore Ravens (3-1)
Last week: Washington wins 31-17
Next week: vs. Cincinnati
The Ravens got right in front of their neighbors in the south. And while it wasn’t the most impressive win, a lot of people entered.
8. Tampa Bay Buccaneers (3-1)
Last week: Win vs. Los Angeles Chargers 38-31
Next week: at Chicago
The books looked awful from the last minute of the first half against the Chargers, and with Thursday’s Knight against the Bears at the tap, even with the tight end Oj Howard filling the ging immediately, it’s a chance to turn the pace.
9. Indianapolis Colts (3-1)
Last week: 19-11 in Chicago
Next week: On Cleveland
The NFL’s best defense was smiling again, and Jonathan Taylor stabilized as the center of the offense. Colt is already good, and getting better.
10. New England Patriots (2-2)
This week: 26-10 loss in Kansas City
Next week: Denver v. Denver
The Patriots really controlled the pace of the game, and if a couple Brian Hoyer and Jarrett Stidham weren’t in the wrong, this might have come down to the wire.
11. Los Angeles Rams (3-1)
This Week: Win vs. New York Giants 17-9
Next week: at Washington
The first quarter of the season in Brandon Staley’s defense has become a time and place of plays, and so it was Sunday, when Darius Williams kept the Giants away.
12. New Orleans Saints (2-2)
Last week: Win at Detroit 35-29
Next week: vs Los Angeles Chargers
Tre’quan Smith and Emanuel Sanders, emerging as legitimate alternatives to Drew Breeze in the passing game, whose need is exactly the same, there I am cautiously optimistic.
13. Cleveland Browns (3-1)
Last week: Dallas win 49-38
Next week: vs. Indianapolis
Bill Callahan is a magician, and Jedrick Wills looks like a home run draft pick, and all of a sudden lost optimism is back in Cleveland.
14. Chicago Bears (3-1)
Last week: Loss vs. Indianapolis 19-11
Next week: Vs. Tampa Bay
From here the schedule tightens, and will continue to test the validity of their 3-0 start, like Nick Falls.
15. Philadelphia Eagles (1-2-1)
Last week: San Francisco wins 25-20
Next week: at Pittsburgh
Injuries have re-decomposed Philly, which means who is WHO? Starring for Philly again. Jordan Mailata, Alex Singleton and Travis Fulgam (?) All played big roles in Sunday’s big road win.
16. San Francisco 49ers (2-2)
Last week: Damage vs. Philadelphia 25-20
Next week: vs Miami
If Jimmy Garoppolo can’t go on Sunday, we have a new quarterback controversy on our hands – Mullins v. Beathard!
17. Las Vegas Raiders (2-2)
Last week: Loss vs. Buffalo 30-23
Next week: at Kansas City
The Raiders are back on Earth for a while, but Bill struggled to play 60 minutes to get their win in Vegas.
18. Minnesota Vikings (1-3- 1-3)
Last week: Win at Houston 31-23
Next week: on Seattle
The passing game came alive on Sunday, and Justin Jefferson seems to be ahead of schedule as a replacement for Diggs.
19. Dallas Cowboys (1-3- 1-3)
Last week: Loss vs. Cleveland 49-38
Next week: vs New York Giants
Dak Prescott fled Cleveland with a few elected picks in view of the loss to make it worse. Cowboy defense is a problem, and not well.
20. Carolina Panthers (2-2)
Last week: Win vs. Arizona 31-21
Next week: at Atlanta
The Panthers were Fiji in Weeks 1 and 2, and have been good ever since. And regardless of the preliminary results, Matt Rule’s program is in a good place.
21. Arizona Cardinals (2-2)
Last week: Carolina lost 31-21
Next week: New York Jets
I must have been a little ahead of myself on the cards in two weeks. I like a lot of their young talent.
22. Los Angeles Chargers (1-3- 1-3)
Last week: Tampa Bay lost 38-31
Next week: on New Le Reliance
The Chargers seem to have got their quarterbacks. Will they continue to play it?
23. Cincinnati Bengals (1-2-1)
Last week: Win vs. Jacksonville 33-25
Next week: at Baltimore
Nothing flipped Bur Burrow until far away. We will see on Sunday that Baltimore will tour.
24. Washington Washington (1-3- 1-3)
Last week: Los vs Baltimore 31-17
Next week: Vs Los Angeles Rams
From Ron Rivera on Sunday it was a courageous effort coaching
25. Jacksonville Jaguars (1-3- 1-3)
Last week: Cincinnati lost at 33-25
Next week: In Houston
The team’s encouraging start has become a thing of the past, and we are once again wondering about the team’s future.
26. Detroit Lions (1-3- 1-3)
Last week: Loss vs. New Orleans 35-29
Next week: Bye
If there’s any good news here, it’s that the schedule gets a little softer in the months after Bye, so the Lions can make a little momentum.
27. Houston Texans (0-4)
Last week: Loss vs. Minnesota 31-23
Next week: vs. Jacksonville
The team is likely to have the backing of Colonel Romeo, as did the 2011 chiefs when he took over as interim coach at Casey.
28. Miami Dolphins (1-3)
Last week: Loss vs. Seattle 31-23
Next week: at San Francisco
Listen to Coach Brian Flores Now a month ago, address the QB situation. It is certain that the time of Tua Tagoviloa is coming.
29. Denver Broncos (1-3- 1-3)
Last week: Win 37-28 on the New York Jets
Next week: at New England
Foxborough is not the best place to go the lost patriots.
30. Atlanta Falcons (0-4)
Last week: Green Bay lost at 30-16
Next week: vs. Carolina
At least they didn’t blow any leads this week, I guess
31. New York Giants (0-4)
Last week: 17-9 at the Los Angeles Rams
Next week: In Dallas
The effort is still a fight, not a victory.
32. New York Jets (0-4)
Last week: Damage vs. Denver 37-28
Next week: vs. Arizona
Not much to say here.
