Six new border cases, no community cases, in the last three days | 1 NEWS

There have been six new cases of Covid-19 at the border in the last three days, and none in the community, the Health Ministry confirmed.

Around 10,500 tests were processed in the last three days.

Two cases arrived from India via the United Arab Emirates, one on March 21 and another on March 30. The first tested positive on day 12 of his stay, the second during tests on day 3.

Two of the cases arrived from Egypt via the United Arab Emirates on April 1 having traveled in the same bubble. They tested positive during routine tests on day 0.

An additional case arrived on March 29 from the UK via Singapore and tested positive on day 3.

The final case came on April 2 after having traveled from the United States through the United Arab Emirates. They tested positive during testing on day 0.

The update, provided by a statement this afternoon, comes after five quarantine cases were announced on Thursday, all hailing from India via the United Arab Emirates.

Twelve cases have been recovered in New Zealand, which means there are 61 active cases in the country.

The total number of confirmed cases from New Zealand is 2,151.
