Surveillance footage released Saturday shows a man pushing a woman through the door of a building, placing her in a headlock, and throwing her to the ground. Then he hits her repeatedly.

The man, identified as Michael Rosa, 25, after his arrest on Sunday, also tried to remove the clothes of the 27-year-old woman, WCBS-TV reported, citing police.

Rosa fled after the woman defended herself, police said. They took her to a hospital and treated her for bruises on her face and arms.
