New York City Council candidate arrested in connection with journalist attack: Cops

City Council candidate Hashi Tisler was arrested Sunday night in connection with an attack on an Orthodox journalist in Borough Park last week, police said.

Tishler, also known as Orthodox, was taken into custody at his home in Brow Park and charged with unlawful detention and inciting disorder, police said.

Videos posted on social media show Tishler being escorted by police in a dark minivan as seen by dozens of people.

Tishler indicated last Friday that he would turn himself in to police on Monday morning after an egg appeared on an uncontrollable crowd of protesters who attacked Jewish Insider journalist Jacob Cornblow.

At the time of his arrest, Firebrand had complained to Camera Mera on Sunday night that it was “fraud.”

“I called, I even talked to the chief. They tricked me. They are telling everyone that I was going to be arrested tomorrow, “Tishler said in a video posted on Twitter by Jacob Pollack.

The bust comes after Mayor de Blasio said Friday that the arrest of Cornblue was near.

Angry people kicked and kicked Cornblue on Wednesday amid protests over the state’s new coronavirus ban.

Some protesters were offended by the documentation of Borough Park’s protest documents.

Tischler’s lawyer, Sara Schulwitz, said Sunday night that her client was the victim of a “politically motivated arrest.”

“He is not guilty and this is a politically motivated arrest and the truth will come out,” Schlewitz told the Post at Brooklyn Criminal Court before Tisler’s arrest.

Socio Radin, co-host of Tischler’s radio show “The Just Enough Hashi Show”, claimed that De Blasio was behind the bust.

“Tisler has nothing to do with hitting anyone. Pure de Blasio, ”Radine said at the courthouse.
