The last sponge Bob The film may have been deprived of a theatrical release by the coronavirus pandemic, but fortunately Netflix has been released to save the day.
The SpongeBob Movie: Sponge on the Run He is now heading to the streaming service, allowing British and international fans of the Bikini Bottom dweller to watch his latest adventure from the comfort of their own homes.
However, there is a slight caveat in this regard. This international Netflix release excludes the US and China (the streaming service is not currently available on the latter).

In June, Paramount announced that the third sponge Bob the franchise movie would be skipping theaters entirely, rather than being released on premium digital rental services in early 2021, before hitting the CBS AllAccess streaming service in the US
“We are delighted to have The SpongeBob Movie: Sponge on the Run, a premiere premiere movie from one of ViacomCBS ‘biggest brands, join ViacomCBS’ growing list of CBS All Access franchise content, “said Marc DeBevoise, digital director of ViacomCBS, and president and CEO of ViacomCBS Digital.
“This launch will sync perfectly with our continued expansion and planned rebranding of the service in early 2021 as we welcome SpongeBob and the Bikini Bottom gang to the service in the best possible way.”
The SpongeBob Movie: Sponge on the Run Its UK and international release date has yet to be confirmed on Netflix, while the US public will be able to see it on premium digital rental services in early 2021, and then on CBS AllAccess.
