We recently asked our readers to vote on their favorite streaming services and devices of the year. In the battle for the best new streaming device released this year, the all new Roku Ultra took the prize.
The 2020 version of Roku’s most powerful streaming device includes support for Dolby Vision HDR, Dolby Atmos and Bluetooth, as well as better wireless coverage. Check out our full review here. CCN readers came here for the improvements, with Roku Ultra getting 51.7% of the vote.
In second place was Chromecast with Google TV with 23% of the vote. After months of rumors and information about the device was leaked, Google finally unveiled the new Chromecast in September. Chromecast with Google TV runs on a newer version of Android TV, known as Google TV.
Amazon’s new Fire TV Stick Lite came in third with 13% of the vote. The low price point made this popular choice during the holidays. Consumers are also opting for an easy design to include the included Alexa and Voice is a remote and behind the TV.
Honestly mentioned, the TVs stream goes to 4K, another compact, affordable option powered by Android Cop with 8% votes.
