The PS5 system update has just landed, briefly bringing system improvements as per the ambiguity.
The update, listed as version 20.02-02.26.00, only comes in around 850mb, so it’s not a big update, but the console is likely to notice some of the toothed issues it recently encountered. This includes the PS5 download queue bug, which Sony recently offered a workaround, which does not include restoring your PS5 to its factory settings, as well as some users reporting Coil Vine Voice from their consoles.
The issues are not clear when this update is currently on target, but at least some of the more obvious toothed issues facing Sony’s console should help. In fact, this is not the first PS5 update Sony has launched since the console’s November 12 launch in the US. Another patch, an update to the PS5 Day, which also recently promised system improvements.
It’s not that these issues have liked Sony’s console launch. One report claims that 2.1 and 2.5 million consoles have been sold, while Jim Ryan claims that “absolutely everything has been sold”. Demand for both next-gen consoles is currently skyrocketing, with Xbox also reporting that the Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S are their biggest launches in the UK.
Don’t lose hope even if you want to buy a PS5. With Black Friday gaming deals going live, there’s every chance you’ll be able to grab one of the few PS5 deals currently available.
