New Orleans police are investigating the murder of a 9-year-old boy in a street shooting that also injured two teens, ages 13 and 15.
Police said the young man was the victim on Monday afternoon of “senseless violence” that has escalated in the city over the past month, Fox 8 New Orleans reported.
“Again, this is unnecessary, it is regrettable and most importantly, it is discouraging for us as a community to accept, a … child who has not yet lived his life to be killed on the streets of New Orleans,” said the Police Chief Shaun Ferguson said.
