New COVID-19 Cases Dropped but Four More Deaths Reported in Utah


THE UTAH DEPARTMENT. HEALTH REPORTED FOUR NEW COVID-19 DEATHS ON TUESDAY, but new cases have declined from where they have been: The Utah Department of Health reported four new COVID-19 deaths on Tuesday, but new cases have declined from where they have been state.

There have been 486 new cases since Monday, and the total number of known cases in Utah is 35,012.

The seven-day moving average for positive tests is 610 per day.

The seven-day moving average for the percentage of positive tests is 9.6 percent.

The four new deaths spanned four counties and brought the total in Utah to 251.

  • A Davis County man between the ages of 65 and 84, who was a long-term care facility resident.
  • A Salt Lake County woman over the age of 85 who was a resident of a long-term care facility.
  • A Box Elder County man between the ages of 45 and 64, who was hospitalized at the time of death.
  • A Weber County man between the ages of 65 and 84, who had not been hospitalized.

There are currently 186 patients with COVID-19 in Utah hospitals.

There were 6,039 people evaluated since Monday and 475,443 people in total have been evaluated to date.
