As coronavirus cases continue to increase in the state of Illinois, an enhanced reduction strategy may be put in place as a result of the increasing positivity rates in three different healthcare sectors.
Region 5, located in southeastern Illinois, has crossed the 8% threshold for its seven-day positivity rate for three consecutive days, according to data obtained by the Illinois Department of Public Health.
