New book claims Meghan Markle ‘found royal restrictions frustrating’ and ‘burned too many bridges’ with royal family

It was clear that Prince Harry and Meghan, Duchess of Sussex felt that his departure from the royal family was necessary. The public and media scrutiny that accompanied her life in the limelight had become overwhelming, so her decision to abandon her royal duties came as no great surprise. Prince Harry and Meghan decided to step back.

After a long break over the holidays in 2019, Prince Harry and Meghan returned to real life with a surprising announcement: They planned to step back from their royal duties. Although the announcement seemed drastic, the queen worked with them to determine her exit plan, which included giving up her RHS titles and any public funding so they could continue with their next chapter.

At that time, the queen issued a statement in support of Sussex’s decision. “After many months of more recent talks and discussions, I am pleased that together we have found a constructive and supportive path for my grandson and her family,” the Queen’s statement read.

“Harry, Meghan and Archie will always be very dear members of my family. I acknowledge the challenges they have experienced as a result of the intense scrutiny over the past two years and support their desire for a more independent life, ”he shared his statement.

Meghan allegedly had trouble adjusting to real life

In the new book Royals at war, authors Dylan Howard and Andy Tillett claim that Meghan had a difficult time in real life because it was “difficult” and demanding.

“Meghan can be difficult. She has very high standards and is used to working in a Hollywood setting, ”a source told the authors (via Express). “However, there is a different degree of respect in the royal house.”

Sources in the book also shared that Meghan “found the limitations of royalty frustrating.”

Also, Meghan’s move to work with the Sunshine Sachs public relations team to improve her image because she was reportedly “tired of palace advisers and communication teams” did not go well with the palace. They were reportedly “shocked,” according to insiders, who said Meghan left an “indelible stain” on her working relationships with the royal family.

Howard continued: “Once Meghan broke free of those ropes, there was no going back and the knives were effectively out.”

Another royal expert previously claimed that Prince Harry also burned bridges in the middle of Megxit. In an article written for the Daily Mail, royal editor Rebecca English noted that, “As a royal person – formerly a great admirer – he recently told me: ‘Harry has given up everything, literally everything. He has burned all the bridges at home. And Meghan? Well I think you have what you wanted …
