The last Animal Crossing: New Horizons The update – Version 1.4.0 – has only been available for a few hours, but data miners have already started searching the game’s archives to see if they can discover juicy new details.
A well-known data miner known as Ninji has found several new references that could hint at possible future additions to the game. We’ve avoided showing this in the title of this article or in the main image to avoid possible spoilers, so go back to safety now if you don’t want to see what might be on the horizon.
Don’t you mind being pampered? Then keep reading.
New references found in the game’s archives appear to include crops and vegetables, such as sugar cane, potatoes, carrots, wheat, tomatoes, and squash, as well as sewing and kitchen items. Naturally, this would suggest that some form of vegetable farming and cooking skills may be opened to players in future updates.
VGC reports that Ninji has previously discovered additions to New Horizons such as the art gallery and dove before they officially appeared.
So if these new features appear in the game, when could they be unlocked? We already know that the next major update to the game will be released this fall, so we imagine they will appear as soon as possible.
It’s also worth mentioning that even though such things are found in game files, there’s nothing stopping Nintendo from deciding not to release these additions. Until Nintendo officially announces cooking and vegetable farming as new features, be sure to keep your enthusiasm under control.
Do you like the sound of these possible new features? Do you expect them to end up in the game at some point? Let us know in the usual place.
