A Nevada woman has been charged by California lawyers with paying $ 5,000 in bitcoin to hire a hitman on the Dark Web to kill her ex-husband.
Christy Lynn Falkins, 36, of Fallon, was charged last week with sending Bitcoin to a Hitman website that turned out to be a scam.
Prosecutors said that during a conversation with the website, in 2016, she agreed to seduce her ex-husband while traveling to Chico in California.
In a criminal complaint this month, Falkins is accused of using interstate commercial facilities in a murder-hire-hire commission.

Federal investigators said they learned of the alleged conspiracy last year.
The complaint did not identify the bogus website.
Court papers have accused Falkins of contacting the website through an account called KBGMKN.

“How do I know you’re not an FBI, they have the ability to infect someone’s device and retrieve their real IP,” KBGMKA wrote in an exchange in the complaint. “Just be careful.”
In the second phase, the website sent a message to KBGMKN about the hit.
The message said, “This will be done on Monday morning; please let us know if he goes to work with anyone else in the car, not to hurt you, you need to tell us.” “Our man will wait for him at the work address, and will shoot him as soon as he gets out of the car as soon as he sees him; but if he is not alone the bullet can also hurt another person.”

Breaking news on the accused, Sacramento BA also reported that Falkins could not be reached for comment Thursday.
He is in court on September 30.
