Jill Biden got a lot of tough questions when she did the show’s broadcast of the “full Ginsburg” show on Wednesday, appearing on ABC’s “Good Morning America,” “CBS This Morning” and NBC’s “Today “after delivering the keynote address Tuesday night at the Democratic National Convention.
“When the former second lady appeared on ABC, NBC and CBS morning shows for interviews following her husband’s nomination yesterday, journalists took the opportunity to swallow Biden and throw softball questions,” Media Research Center analyst Kristine wrote Marsh.
JILL BIDEN, A DNC SPRIT OF HONORABLE HIGH SCHOOL CLASSROOM, SAYS HUSBAND WANTS TO MAKE ‘THE NATION WANTS’
“Good Morning America” co-anchor George Stephanopoulos began his conversation with the former second lady by asking which of her grandchildren helped use the festive balloons and confetti at Tuesday’s DNC.
Stephanopoulos then asked questions about how the Bidens felt when Joe was officially nominated as a Democrat, how she would feel about returning to read in a classroom in the midst of the coronavirus pandemic, and if she did at some point wanted a plague in the campaign.
“I think my punch days are over,” Biden said after chuckling at the question, which was a reference to a story about her sister defending against a bully.
Stephanopoulos then turned to attack ads about Joe Biden’s health and fitness for office, and asked how she felt about her.
JILL BIDEN PREDICTS ‘A LOT OF REPUBLICANS’ WANTS TO VOTE FOR HER HANDS, EVEN WHEN IT DOESN’T WAY
“You know, George, I see Joe every day and he writes speeches, he’s informed, he makes phone calls, he’s constantly on the Zoom, he’s lending money, I mean, we’re going from 9 in the morning, gosh, 10- “At night, because we also have to hit the people on the West Coast,” said Biden. “I do not see any of that. Joe is completely engaged and … he loves it.”
Earlier this week, the Trump campaign launched a digital ad suggesting that the former vice president and Democratic nominee has suffered from cognitive decline in the past four to five years.
The mockery asks, “Did something happen to Joe Biden?” and it cuts between clips of then-Vice President Biden of 2015 and 2016, which speak clearly and energetically and stumble upon Biden’s video and appear to lose track of his thinking during the 2020 presidential campaign.
Stephanopoulos smiled when he said, “He’s been there a while, no matter what,” without asking about any recent interesting gaffs made by the Democratic nominee speaking out for the Trump campaign.
The anchor of ABC News then asked Biden – who received widespread praise for her speech – what she was most looking forward to and her biggest fear as her husband contemplated on election day.
Over on CBS, Jill Biden talks to Gayle King about “CBS This Morning,” where she was soon asked what this moment means for her family.
“Joe has worked so hard to be in this moment, and he ran twice before, but this time we will win,” she said.
King replied, ‘You say that with such confidence. But why?”
DNC CONVENTION SPEAKERS: WHAT TO KNOW ABOUT JILL
Biden responded by saying that Americans want new leadership and her husband is the man for the job. King then told Jill Biden that she gave “very touching analogies” during the DNC regarding her husband overcoming personal tragedies, reuniting his family and now reuniting the country.
King then pivot, Jill Biden asked her thoughts on Michelle Obama’s DNC speech and if schools should reopen amid the coronavirus pandemic. The co-host “CBS This Morning” made sure that Obama’s speech was “passionate” and that “students love Biden” before she could answer the questions.
‘If you become the first woman of this country, what should you do? What do you think? “King asked.” Will you continue teaching? “
Biden quickly said, “Yes” and King replied, “In class? Do you go every day?”
Biden explained that she is a teacher and will continue to teach, even if her husband is the president.
Then came the most difficult question Jill Biden received on Wednesday morning, when King asked how she could overlook Kamala Harris’ attack on her husband in a Democratic primary debate.
AOC CALLS ‘RACIAL INJUSTICE, COLONIZATION, MISOGYNY’ IN MINUTE-LONG DNC SPEECH
‘How did you get past that? Because it’s thought he would not have chosen Kamala Harris if you did not sign up, ‘King asked.
Biden shot back, ‘Joe admires really strong women,’ and Harris ’debate performance proved she was‘ fierce ’and a great addition to the ticket.
“When Joe chose a wife and Kamala, I was really excited,” she said. “I think it’s a great ticket.”
Much like Stephanopoulos did, King then did about President Trump questioning Biden’s cognitive skills and fitness for office, without mentioning the interesting gaffs the Trump campaign asked to ask these things in the first place.

Jill Biden gave a similar answer, noting that her husband works hard, takes regular interviews and is “on the Zoom”, so there is “no question” about his mental health.
“Joe is busy every minute of the day,” she said.
King picked up the conversation by asking how she plans to contact voters if they can not go out and meet her face to face because of coronavirus and why her grandchildren consider her a prankster.
“What do you want us to know about you, Jill Biden, as a grandmother?” Frege King.

Marsh ended the interview by remarking, “King on CBS was also sympathetic to Biden for control. She asked how Biden got ‘the’ unjustified attacks’ from the primary debates to choose Kamala Harris as his VP, before inviting Biden to shoot Trump’s questions about her husband’s mental acuity.
Meanwhile, NBC’s “Today” co-anchor Savannah Guthrie kicked off her version of the interview by asking if Biden could get her message while giving a DNC speech in a low class without admiring fans in the audience.
Guthrie then asked about the recent announcement by the postmaster general that planned operational changes by the U.S. Postal Service to delay delayed mail deliveries would be postponed until after the election.
“Are you worried about the election, the honesty of the election, the voting?” Guthrie asked why Jill Biden House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif., Could praise him for trying to “fix” the situation.
Much like Stephanopoulos and King, Guthrie then pointed out that Biden is an educator and asked her thoughts on school openings. Guthrie then asked about Harris being chosen as running mate, and asked if it was difficult to overcome her attacks during the primary debate.
‘It was a debate and we left, we came together. We are uniting, we hope to unite the country, ”said Biden. “I think it’s really changed to something positive.”
Guthrie then essentially posed the same question that Stephanopoulos and King asked, and noted Trump’s campaign has questioned the former vice president’s cognitive ability. “Is that an honest attack?” Ask Guthrie.
PLEASE TALK TO CARDI B AS PRESSURE STORE TO FIX QUESTIONS FROM REPORTERS
Biden essentially gave the same answer every three times that she was asked the question, while none of the morning show anchors noticed the specific things the Trump campaign used against her husband.
“Guthrie persuaded Biden to decipher how unfair the question was of her husband’s cognitive abilities,” Marsh wrote.
The trio of interviews also resulted in questions about why Jill appeared on the shows instead of her husband, who has taken significantly fewer questions from the press in recent weeks than President Trump.

“A review of interviews, transcripts and videos shows that Trump has taken 635 questions from the media since mid-July and Biden just 80, an 8-1 divorce,” Washington Examiner columnist Paul Bedard wrote Monday in a headline piece , “Claim: Trump takes 700% more questions than Biden in one month.”
