Netflix documentary on real crimes Unsolved Mysteries has announced that there has been a major update in one of the show’s biggest cases.

Episode four of the series, titled ‘No Ride Home’, focused on the case of Alonzo Brooks, a 23-year-old boy who was found dead after attending a party at the house.

Witnesses to the party said Brooks, who was of African American and Mexican descent, was the target of racial slurs from other guests.

Her body was found a month after the party in a stream near the house outside La Cygne, Kansas. No one was arrested in connection with the case, and his autopsy was unable to determine his cause of death.

On Tuesday (July 21) the Unsolved Mysteries Twitter account provided a big update on the case, reporting that Brooks’ body had been exhumed after the FBI recently reopened his case.

Last month, the FBI offered a $ 100,000 reward for any advice that leads to an arrest in the case.

Speaking to Variety last week, series executive producer Terry Dunn Meurer revealed that the Brooks case was the one they had received the most advice on.

“Alonzo Brooks was probably [the case] we’ve received most of the emails, “said Meurer.” Many theories that we had already heard when we produced the episodes, but there are some new names that have come in and that we have sent to the FBI.

“There were a lot of people there at that party, someone witnessed what happened. We just hope they show up,” he continued.

“The FBI offered that $ 100,000 reward, which they just announced in the last month. That was incredible and hopefully motivates someone to present what they know in that case, because someone knows it.”

Unsolved Mysteries is available on Netflix.
