In the latest trailer for The old guard, starring Charlize Theron and KiKi Layne, the squad’s last immortal member comes face to face with an eternity that she didn’t sign up for.
Based on the graphic novel of Greg Rucka and Leandro Fernández, and directed by Gina Prince-Bythewood, The old guard It tells the story of a young soldier named Nile (Layne), who discovers that she is part of a line of divine mercenaries who cannot die for centuries.
With the help of Andy (Theron), also known as Andromache of Scythia, Nile is brought to the titular Old Guard to fight for humanity, or perhaps the correct salary. However, things change when a dangerous group discovers their secret and decides to go after them. They can’t be killed, but it turns out there are much worse things than death for an immortal.
Meanwhile, Nile is struggling with the fact that while she is eternally young, everyone she will ever love will die, something that all members of the Old Guard have had to face throughout their centuries of life. Fun times for everyone involved!
