Netflix has disconnected from an upcoming unscripted prank show with Chris D’Elia after allegations surfaced that the comedian and actor had solicited underage girls on social media, a broadcast network spokesperson confirmed to Deadline. .
D’Elia had just closed a deal with Netflix to do the show with her best friend and comedian Bryan Callen when the allegations came up in June, according to sources close to the project. The show had yet to go into production, and we heard that Netflix decided not to go ahead amid the allegations. The transmitter’s decision to scrap the project was reported by Los Angeles Times.
D’Elia released a statement in June denying that he “knowingly chased” underage women.

“I know that I have said and done things that could have offended people during my career, but I have never knowingly sought out underage women at any time,” D’Elia said in the statement. “All my relationships have been legal and consensual and I have never met or exchanged any inappropriate photos with people who have tweeted about me. D’Elia was abandoned by CAA and its management company 3 Arts shortly after the allegations also emerged.
Three of D’Elia’s comedy specials are still available for broadcast on Netflix: Incorrigible (2015) Man on Fire (2017) and Without pain (2020) – in addition to the second season of the show Your, in which she played a man who threatens a 15-year-old girl. D’Elia’s character Henderson was killed and will not appear in season 3 of the show.
