Taylor Swift revealed on Friday (August 21) to fans that she has her own way of thinking about how the songs are going Folklore fit together so that she has named the first of several re-ordered versions Folklore: The Chapter Escapism.
As you probably know by now, the singer’s sneak album tells stories, not necessarily her own, of the bow of young love as they immerse themselves in the lives of a series of characters.
Now, like a director’s cut of a favorite movie, even though Folklore has the government Billboard 200 chart for three straight weeks in its current form, Taylor is not quite ready to tell those stories. “In my head, the songs on folklore fit together into different groups and ‘chapters’ – based on how they fit together thematically, “Swift tweeted.” I want to share the first one today. Here is folklore: the chapter escapism.
This six-song version opens with bonus track “The Lakes”, then splits into “Seven”, “Epiphany”, “Cardigan”, “Mirrorball” and winds down with the Bon Iver colleague “Exile”.
