NBC Chicago – Here’s the Illinois Healthcare Area Key Coronavirus Matrix Stand Here

The state of Illinois currently has four healthcare territories grappling with additional coronavirus reduction restrictions as a result of elevated positivity rates, but some other territories could potentially see those regulations in place as well.

Those territories include Chicago, along with Region Region, which includes McHenry and Lake Counties.

Here are the latest numbers from the four Illinois territories currently under coronavirus ban:

Region 1:

Now the second level of the sector is banned, but the positivity rate has increased every Saturday, which is now 12.2%.

Area 5:

The sanctions came into effect on Thursday. Its positivity rate dropped from 9.1% to 8.7% on 10/18 and 10/20, then dropped again to 8.3% on 10/21.

Region 7:

Restrictions in place on Friday. On 10/21 the positive rate in the region reached 9.3%. Hospital admission availability is 25% and ICU bed availability is 26%. We have to keep an eye on that number.

Region 8:

Restrictions in place on Friday. The positivity rate will remain at 9.4% for 10/19 and 10/20, then decreased to 9.3% on 10/21. Hospital availability at 24%.

Here is a group of Illinois territories that may soon see the new restrictions put in place:

Area 2:

The positivity rate of this region is 7% as of 10/21. This number has steadily increased in recent days after an increase in cases.

Area 3:

After a rapid growth in cases, the positivity rate has remained at 7.3% as of 10/21. The region’s ICU availability has also declined, to 24% according to IDPH.

Region ::

New sanctions in this area could greatly increase, as the positivity rate has exceeded 8% for two consecutive days. More than 8% a day will stimulate new mitigation restrictions, including the closure of indoor dining and bar service.

Area 9:

The region, located in McHenry and Lake County, has seen its positivity rate rise to 7.8%. The number has dropped slightly in recent days, but going forward the sector is facing the crisis of additional controls.

Area 10:

The positivity rate in the region, which is located in the Cook County area outside of Chicago, has continued to slow up, reaching 7.3% on 10/20 and 7.5% on 10/21. Hospitalization is advancing, and with 29% ICU availability, the area has only 24% availability on hospital beds in the event of an increase.

Region 11:

Chicago was correct at 7% but has gone up to a 7.3% positivity rate in recent days. The biggest concern in Chicago now is 21% with hospital admissions available. A number of 20% or less for any three straight days would trigger an additional reduction at the state level.
