NBA Draft 2020: Dallas trades Seth Curry for Josh Richardson and picks # 36

The Dallas Mavericks sold Philadelphia ers at 76 for a shed in exchange for the overall selection of Joth Richardson and the overall.

Which has been a very busy night for Dallas, shortly after his selection at 31 (Tyrell Terry, welcome), the news of the trade came.

After Richardson used his 18th pick on Josh Green, he’s another addition to what was dangerously stable on the wing. Richards spent 4 years in Miami before trading in a huge 4-team in Philadelphia.

Last season he averaged 13.7 points, 2.9 assists and 3.2 rebounds per game, starting 53 of his 55 games. He’s the league average 3-point shooter in his career, averaging .363, but hopefully he can see the kind of improvement he’s playing with number Luca Donik – as Tim Hardway Jr. and Dorian Finney-Smith showed this past season.

Seth has done it at the time of the second exit. He’s been a Dead-Eye shooter his entire career, and no one is likely to be happy to see him again, but the needs of the Mangrix’s wing should have simply represented his need to shoot from a guard spot. It is not surprising, however, that in his first draft at the helm of the 76ers, Daryl Moore is already adding offensive weapons to his system.

In addition to Richardson, the Mavericks also got the 36th overall pick they drafted from Tyler B of Colorado.
