NBA Bubble League Black Bubble court unveiled

Players and the media have been taking a look inside the NBA bubble.

Now the league has unveiled the hub of the action, its main arena setup and the Black Lives Matter court where the games will be played. The league toured the facility Tuesday morning to media at the site, some of whom shared videos and images.

Images shared by ESPN’s Malika Andrews show the court “Black Lives Matter” surrounded by video boards. Players will sit on socially spaced benches spaced in three rows.

Here is the view from the center court provided by Chris Mannix of Sports Illustrated.

It is jarring not to see a space for fans to sit down. I suppose massive video boards will play a role in recreating the fan experience.

Gary Washburn of the Boston Globe provided a walking tour of the touchline and baseline and a 360-degree perspective from the court.

The NBA then shared close-up, margin, and half-court images.

The bubble league begins amidst huge scrutiny on July 30 with the Utah Jazz facing the New Orleans Pelicans and the Los Angeles Lakers facing the Clippers. The NBA will look like it has never been seen before.

So far, the COVID-19 news is good, and the league reported zero cases Monday among 346 proven players.
