NASCAR Pocono 350 Results: Denny Hamlin Wins, Stops Kevin Harvick for His Fourth Checkered Flag of 2020


Denny Hamlin is the winner of the Pocono 350 of the 2020 NASCAR Cup, the second part of the double weekend game at Pocono Raceway. Sunday was Hamlin’s sixth career win at Pocono, tying Jeff Gordon as the all-time Cup Series winner at Pocono. The last time he won at Pocono Raceway was last July. Hamlin’s victory is also his 41st career victory, breaking a tie with Hall of Fame driver Mark Martin. He is now 19th on the all-time win list.

Kevin Harvick finished second in Sunday’s race. He brought home the checkered flag after leading the final 17 laps of the Pocono Organic 325 on Saturday, while Hamlin finished second. Hamlin broke a tie with Harvick and now leads the Cup with four wins this season. Erik Jones was third and Chase Elliott was fourth.

Sunday’s race was 140 laps and 350 miles, and ended just before 9pm ET. Despite the lightning strikes and weather delays at Long Pond, Pa who delayed the green flag and also stopped the race for more than 50 minutes after only six laps have been completed.

The Cup series heads to the Brickyard, Indianapolis Motor Speedway, for the weekend of July 4 with the Big Machine Vodka 400 on Sunday, July 5.
