It is said that NASA will hold a big event to announce “exciting new discoveries” about the moon.
The space agency did not disclose details about the discovery but suggested that it “contributes to NASA’s efforts to learn about the moon to support deep space exploration.”
It is also said that the discovery came from the Stratospheric Observatory for Infrared Astronomy or Sofia.
Sophia is a modified Boeing ifiedifiedified that flies in the high atmosphere, giving a built-in, foot-by-foot telescope a view of our solar system and the vast universe.
Because it goes above 99 percent of the water vapor in the atmosphere, which is usually obscured from a space point of view, a flying observer can “choose an event impossible to see with visible light,” NASA noted in its announcement.
NASA’s notification of the incident gave a strong reference to the Artemis program, which hopes to use the first woman and the next man to the moon in 2024, with the hope of using it as a basis for launching missions to Mars from the 2030s. They will be the first people to set foot on the moon since 1972.
Jacob Blatter, chief research scientist for the Directorate of Human Exploration and Operations at NASA headquarters, will also attend the briefing, suggesting that the discovery applies to the space agency’s plans to at least travel to the moon and stay alive.
Dr Bleacher as well as Paul Hertz, director of the astrophysics department at NASA headquarters, will be present at the event; Casey Honibile, Post Doctoral Fellow at NASA’s Goddard Space Flight Center; And Sophia Mission project scientist Naseem Rangwala.
The event will take place on Monday, October 26 at 5 p.m. or 5 p.m., NASA said.
