An astronaut joined the millions of debris orbiting the Earth when he lost a small mirror attached to his spacesuit during a spacewalk, the AP news agency reported.
US Commander Chris Cassidy lost the mirror while leaving the International Space Station (ISS) on battery. Cassidy and Bob Behnken were conducting their first of at least four spacewalks, replacing the station’s batteries when the incident occurred.

However, the lost item does not pose any risk to the spacewalk or the ISS, the AP reported, citing NASA.
Spacewalk astronauts wear a wrist mirror on both sleeves of their suit to get a better view of things when leaving the space station.
Behnken and Doug Hurley made history when they departed for the ISS in a Space X Dragon capsule, marking the first first human space flight through a government-private partnership.
