Not wanting to hang out with family and friends can often be a better option to mute WhatsApp chats than leaving the group – but you can only do this for a fixed period of up to a year.

Many of us find ourselves in a position to add ourselves to group chats for family members or friends, but are then bombarded with messages, most of which have no interest. Leaving the chat will alert everyone that we have done so, and feel rude. Muting chat is a preferred option for many in this situation, as no one can see that you have done it.
Muting WhatsApp chats means you won’t receive notifications or alerts when a new message arrives in the group. Then you can ignore it too much, and take a look from time to time when it suits you. Previously, you had to mute it annually, but WhatsApp tweeted that this is no longer the case.
It works for most people, but there are also some who never want to keep an eye on the chat. Muting is not ideal for that position because the group will still return to the top of your chats when anyone posts on it. Some just choose the option to archive it and never see it again.
One big request, however, is for true multi-device support. Currently, for Apple Pal users, WhatsApp only runs on an iPhone. There are third-party iPad apps, but this web interface is only front-end, supporting only one connection at a time. The Official Physical app is similar to the app, which means that when you use it on your Mac, your iPad is disconnected – and so on.
Multi-devices functionality is what we really need urgently, this is 2020 and we still rely on active phone naline phones to use the web client, and we used more than one phone without backing up, resetting and restoring to another Can’t. Phone: A type of ancient behavior.
Many of us want to act like eMessage, and for WhatsApp TSAP, with messages delivered to official apps on all devices. A liqueur suggested in August that this would eventually be in the works.
