Move aside Mario, a new F-Zero Twitter account has been discovered

Following the discovery of a private Super Mario Twitter account earlier this week, there are now reports that other account – with a recovery email potentially linked to Nintendo: has been discovered.

Yes, this time it’s for the inactive Nintendo F-Zero franchise, which hasn’t received a new entry in about 16 years.

As explained by VGC, the protected Twitter ID @FZeroJP was registered in March 2020 this year, along with the @ SuperMario35th account and attached to a similar looking email that matches the ‘nintendo.co address. jp ‘from Nintendo.

Apparently, this address also matches emails linked to the official Twitter accounts SplatoonJP and SmashBrosJP.

Of course, at this stage, it is impossible to confirm whether this account was created by Nintendo, and even if this is the case, it may be that the company reserves the identifiers for your IP on social media.

A similar story recently made rounds within the Xbox community when Perfect dark and Fable Twitter accounts were discovered in March and June of this year, and an Xbox employee said it was “standard practice” to secure social identifiers for IP.

If Nintendo announced a new F-Zero game, it would be the first since the Game Boy Advance 2004 title in Japan only, F-Zero Climax.
