Here is another reason why we should all do our best to comply with CDC guidelines regarding the COVID-19 pandemic during the holiday weekend of July 4. Florida health officials reported 9,478 new cases of COVID-19 on Friday along with 67 new coronavirus-related deaths.
Osceola registered 177 new cases, bringing the total number of COVID-19 positive cases in Osceola to 2,526. No new deaths were reported at Osceola, keeping its total death count at 25. There were 803 negatives who also reported raising the positivity rate to 18.1%, up from 15.0% yesterday.
New cases reported by FDOH bring Florida’s total to 178,594 since early March with 3,684 Florida residents dying of the coronavirus.
Most coronavirus-related deaths have occurred in groups 65 and older, however Florida reported Thursday that it is the youngest virus death, an 11-year-old boy with special needs.
