More than 27 crore ballots have already been cast. Here’s what the preliminary poll will open this week


States Voters in 45 states and the District of Columbia who provide pre-election data are already setting records. More than 166 million ballots cast in the 201st presidential election so far represent about 20% of the ballots cast.

Some of the voter information has come from Catalyst, which provides data, analytics and other services to Democrats, academics and nonprofit issue-advocacy organizations and is giving a new insight into who is voting before November.

Georgia’s initial individual voters have already cast more than 1,450,000 ballots by Sunday afternoon. Which was 578,147 votes during that period while an increase of 152% since 2016.

As of Friday, the ballot is available in all 50 states and DC. Individual voting will begin in the slate of individual swing states in the coming days.

Nevada went to the polls early Saturday, with more than 17,800 voters casting ballots in Clark County, Las Vegas.

Clark County spokesman Dan Cullen told CNN, “A polling station in North Las Vegas opened two hours late because of a hardware issue. The issue created long lines that spread on social media, but the only problem was reported by the county as 48 on the first day. Individual polling stations are open.

Shifting attention to Florida on Monday, While 52 of the state’s 67 counties are starting early voting – including crucial counties such as Broward, Dowell, Miami-Dade and Palm Beach. All counties will begin early voting on the latest October 24th.

In Florida so far, more than 2.4 million votes have been cast by mail, which is about 261,000 ballot voters than all the vote-by-mail votes cast in 2016. Registered Republicans, 49% Democrats and 20% Party Affiliates.

And while Democrats still outperform Republicans in the state with nearly 134,000 registered voters, their lead has shrunk significantly in recent years. In 2016, that gap was over 327,000 and in 2012, it was over 535,000.

If we talk about the voters registered by the race, this time around 611%% are white, 1, .. 3% Hispanic and 1.4 ..% black. In 2016, the breakdown was 64.2% White, 15.7% Hispanic and 13.4% Black.

In Wisconsin, early voting begins on Tuesday. The state played a central role in Trump’s victory in 2016, with rural and working class voters leading the Democrats’ rejection in the Upper Midwest. Four years later, however, the state remains a major battleground, but one where Trump lags behind in the most recent polls.

Monday

Preliminary voting begins in Alaska, Arkansas, Colorado, Idaho and North Dakota.

In Colorado, drop-offs are open to accept mail ballots for general elections and voter services and polling stations.

Preliminary voting begins in several Florida counties, including Broward, Miami-Dade, Duval and Palm Beach.

On tuesday

Deadline to apply for mail / absentee ballots in Maryland, Nevada and New Mexico.

Preliminary voting begins in Hawaii, Louisiana, Utah and Wisconsin.

Wednesday

Deadline to apply for mail / absentee ballots in Missouri (requested by mail).

Preliminary voting begins in West Virginia.

Thursday

Deadline to apply for mail / absentee ballots in Indiana

Friday

Deadline to apply for mail / absentee ballots in Arizona, Idaho, Nebraska (ballot by mail), New Jersey, Virginia (ballot by mail), Texas and Utah.
