RENO, Nev. (KOLO) – Seven more residents of the Northern Nevada State Veterans Home tested positive for COVID-19, the Veterans Home said Saturday.

Access to the home remains limited to only essential team members and providers. Also, anyone entering the building must undergo a search.

“By increasing the frequency of testing, we will identify positive cases even earlier, and therefore limit the extent of possible exposures, and begin therapeutic treatments as soon as possible,” the director of the Department of Services said in a statement. Nevada Veterans Kat Miller. “Our dedicated clinical teams continue to work with local, state and federal partners to do everything possible to protect our residents and team members.”
