SALT LAKE CITY – The number of Covid-19 cases in Utah rose to 487 on Tuesday, with nine more deaths and 20,268 more vaccinations, the health department said in a report.
Two of the deaths occurred before Feb. 9, but are still being investigated by the state’s medical examiner’s office, the health department said. State data show that there are now an estimated 16,293 active cases of Covid-19 in Utah.
The average number of seven-day positive cases is now at 603, according to the health department. The positive test rate per day is now 10.5% for those periods registered with the “people over people” method. The seven-day average positive test rate calculated by the “test over test” method is now 9.9%.
State data show that there are currently 213 Kovid-19 patients hospitalized in Utah, including 92 in intensive care units. All intensive care unit beds are occupied on Tuesday in Utah, including about 71% of ICU beds in 16 referral hospitals in the state. 46 46% of non-ICU hospital beds are now occupied in Utah.

- A Summit County man, aged 45 to 64, was hospitalized when he died.
- A man from Toule County, aged between 65 and 84, was hospitalized when he died.
- A man from Utah County who was over 85 years old and a resident of a long-term care facility
- A Utah County man between the ages of 65 and 84 was hospitalized when he died
- A Washington Washington County man between the ages of 65 and 84 was hospitalized when he died.
- The Weber County woman, aged 45 to 64, was hospitalized after her death
Tuesday’s average ut 371, 79.79 total confirmed cases, in which a total of ,,, 7533 hospital admissions and a total of 1, 49 deaths from the disease. Have died. An estimated 353,737 Utah Covid-19 cases are now believed to have recovered, the health department reports.
